Produced in 2004, Mr. Mille was one of the early experimental CG animated shorts created at Maga Animation Studio and directed by Max Carrier Ragazzi. Wrapped in humor and surreal invention, the film was conceived as a reflection on technological excess and on how power, when detached from human scale and awareness, can drift away from real life and nature.
More than twenty years later, its message remains surprisingly current. After chaos, noise and over‑engineered solutions, Mr. Mille closes with a simple choice: stepping away, slowing down, and reconnecting with the essentials, fresh air, nature, balance.
On the occasion of Earth Day, we’re happy to share Mr. Mille again. Not as an environmental slogan, but as a small, ironic reminder about responsibility, scale and the everyday choices that shape our future.
A new burst of colour and personality has recently joined the kids’ section of TIMvision, one of Italy’s leading on‑demand entertainment platforms.
This is where “Mr. Men Little Miss Mini Adventures”, produced by Maga Animation Studio for Sanrio Europe, continues its journey, reaching families with its unmistakable tone.
Inspired by the iconic creations of Roger and Adam Hargreaves, the series brings their timeless humour into a contemporary, fast‑paced format. Each short episode blends distinctive personalities, visual playfulness and a storytelling style that speaks to both new viewers and long‑time fans.
The Italian version also features the unmistakable talent of Pietro Ubaldi, among the most famous voice actors in the country, lending his voice to Mr. Grumpy and Mr. Bump.
A reminder that stories can continue their path long after their initial release, travelling into new homes and meeting new viewers along the way!
Fantastic news for our virtual pop star NORA ノラ, who keeps gaining momentum all across North America.
Her music video “Beat of a Romance / Cha Cha Cha”, directed by Serena Tripepi, has just scored a huge win: Best Animation Music Video at the LIT Music Awards 2026 in the United States!
And the celebrations don’t stop there. The video also made it to Finalist at the Bare Bones International Film & Music Festival in the U.S., while at the same time landing an official selection in the Music Videos category at Animaze - Montreal International Animation Festival, in Canada.
All these recognitions show a growing curiosity for projects that mix performance, visual design and hybrid storytelling. And in a moment when generative tools are everywhere, works created through intentional, human‑driven artistry, with zero generative AI involved, shine even brighter.
That’s exactly where NORA wants to be, a digital star with a handmade soul!
From March 9th to 13th, Maga Animation Studio touched down in San Francisco for the GDC Festival of Gaming 2026, one of the key annual gatherings for professionals shaping the world of games and interactive experiences. Our CEO, Massimo Carrier‑Ragazzi, spent the week meeting developers, studios, publishers and creatives from across the international industry.
For Maga Animation for Games, the division of our studio dedicated to game‑related projects, GDC offered the chance to exchange ideas, discover different viewpoints and stay close to the evolving landscape of digital worlds and interactive storytelling. We were part of the Italian video game developer delegation, coordinated by IIDEA association and supported by the Italian Trade Agency, bringing together professionals representing different facets of the Italian gaming ecosystem.
Plenty of new sparks to bring back home!
