A new season of Mr. Men Little Miss Mini Adventures

    20 lug 2026

Some stories remain timeless because they speak about experiences everyone shares. We're delighted to continue our collaboration with Sanrio on the second season of Mr. Men Little Miss Mini Adventures, now available on the official YouTube channel. Following the success of the first season, which surpassed 1.5 million views, our team returned to oversee the executive production and direction of 12 brand-new episodes.
Co-directed and written by Francesca Pietrobelli and Eleonora Di Nardo, the new season explores the everyday challenges of growing up through humor, friendship and cooperation. Staying true to the iconic personalities of the Mr. Men and Little Miss characters, these new adventures bring greater emotional depth and richer ensemble storytelling, showing how differences can become strengths when characters learn to understand one another.
A huge thank you to Sanrio and to everyone involved in bringing these colorful adventures back to life. We hope children and families around the world enjoy them as much as we enjoyed creating them!

MonzaCon 2026: a day of conversations that matter

    7 lug 2026

Great conversations, inspiring encounters and a shared passion for creativity made MonzaCon Summer Edition 2026 a memorable start to the summer for Maga Animation Studio.
Held in Monza, the event brought together fans and professionals from the worlds of comics, gaming and digital art for a day dedicated to creativity and storytelling. On July 4, Max Carrier Ragazzi, CEO of our studio, joined CG artist and filmmaker Marco Spitoni for the panel "Digital Masters: local talent behind major international productions", hosted by Masta. The discussion explored creative careers, international productions and some of the projects currently taking shape at the studio, offering attendees a behind-the-scenes look at the work that goes into bringing stories to audiences around the world.
MonzaCon was also a great opportunity to reconnect with friends and colleagues, including Lola Airaghi, acclaimed Italian comic book artist and illustrator, and Luigi Bona, director of WOW Spazio Fumetto, Milan's comic art museum.
As an official main partner of the event, Maga Animation Studio was proud to support an initiative that celebrates creativity and highlights the talent of the local artistic community. A big thank you to the MonzaCon team for the invitation and to everyone who attended the panel!

  • Great energy and big ideas at Annecy 2026

Great energy and big ideas at Annecy 2026

    1 lug 2026

What happens when the world's animation community gathers in one place? Inspiration sparks and new ideas take shape.
Last week, our team - Max Carrier Ragazzi, Lorenzo Marini and Alessia Garofalo - headed to MIFA Annecy for an intense week of meetings, conversations and fresh opportunities with animation professionals from all over the globe.
If there was one takeaway from the event, it was the incredible momentum of the Italian animation industry. Thanks to the massive Italian Pavilion organized by ITA - Italian Trade Agency Paris, 34 Italian companies stood together under one roof. It was a powerful showcase of how much our industry has grown and how strongly it is positioning itself on the international stage.
Annecy remains the ultimate place to take the pulse of our sector. Seeing so many talented creators, ambitious productions and innovative Italian studios united and ready to connect with global partners was both inspiring and a clear sign of our collective strength.
A huge thank you to everyone we met along the way. We came home with fresh ideas, valuable contacts and even more excitement for what comes next!

Inside Maga Animation's journey at FAB festival

Inside Maga Animation's journey at FAB festival

    20 giu 2026

Global stories often begin in very local places. On June 14th, our founder Max Carrier Ragazzi joined a special talk about video games and animation at the FAB - Festival di Animazione in Brianza, in Bellusco (near Milan), right in the area we call home.
More than an industry talk, it became a reflection on a creative journey that began nearly 30 years ago, driven by the desire to build an original voice. From early inspirations to today, Maga has grown across animation, video games and music, guided by curiosity over convention. The audience was young, engaged and full of questions. A strong reminder that animation is a universal language, connecting generations and cultures.
A special thanks to Mauro Orsi for the thoughtful hosting and to everyone who joined us with curiosity and openness. Events like this remind us why staying connected to where we come from matters. Being rooted in the Brianza area, while developing projects for an international audience, is simply part of our identity.
We keep creating. From where we belong, to everywhere.

We’re back from First Playable with our inventory full of ideas. From June 10 to 12, we were in Florence for one of the key meeting points of the Italian game industry. Organized by IIDEA (Italian Interactive Digital Entertainment Association), the national trade body that represents and supports the video game industry in Italy, the event brings together developers, publishers and creatives from across the international scene.
Representing Maga Animation Studio, Max Carrier Ragazzi and Massimo Gentili spent three days moving between meetings and new connections. Days were all about focused business and exchanges; nights opened up to a more relaxed atmosphere, discovering great projects and celebrating the industry together. A highlight of the event was the Italian Video Game Awards, a moment that really captures the energy and growth of the Italian ecosystem and the people behind it.
A big thanks to IIDEA for making all of this happen and for continuing to support and grow the Italian game scene!

A few days at Cartoons on the Bay

    4 giu 2026

We’re back from three days at Cartoons on the Bay 2026 in Pescara, on Italy’s Adriatic coast, one of the main international animation festivals, organized by Italy’s public broadcaster RAI.
From May 29 to 31, Max Carrier Ragazzi and Lorenzo Marini were there for Maga Animation Studio, moving between events, quick chats, spontaneous meet-ups and all those moments that make festivals like this so alive.
It was great to reconnect with familiar faces, meet new ones and exchange ideas with the international animation community in such an open and energetic environment. A special mention to the musicians we met along the way, unexpected encounters that led to really inspiring conversations.
    Always good to be there!

A major win for NORA at Videoclip Italia Awards 2026!

A major win for NORA at Videoclip Italia Awards 2026!

    1 giu 2026

What started as an idea is now out there, on a stage!
On May 29, in Milan, at the Videoclip Italia Awards 2026, the main national award dedicated to music videos in Italy, Maga Animation Studio won Best Music Video or Animation Sequence with NORA’s “Beat of a Romance / Cha Cha Cha”, directed by Serena Tripepi with Giordana Raccah as animation director.
Being there, in that room, with so many people shaping today’s music video scene and hearing our project called, that hits.
Our CEO Max Carrier Ragazzi was there with 2D concept artist Clara Pirovano to pick up the award, but this is the result of a whole team that pushed this project forward every single day.
NORA ノラ is our virtual idol and digital artist, built as a real music act, with her own identity, voice and visual world. Everything was developed through a fully human-driven process, no generative AI. Just people, ideas and a lot of work behind every frame.
Thanks to the jury for the recognition and to everyone who’s been part of this!

Looking back on our short Mr. Mille this Earth Day

Looking back on our short Mr. Mille this Earth Day

    22 apr 2026

Produced in 2004, Mr. Mille was one of the early experimental CG animated shorts created at Maga Animation Studio and directed by Max Carrier Ragazzi. Wrapped in humor and surreal invention, the film was conceived as a reflection on technological excess and on how power, when detached from human scale and awareness, can drift away from real life and nature.
More than twenty years later, its message remains surprisingly current. After chaos, noise and over‑engineered solutions, Mr. Mille closes with a simple choice: stepping away, slowing down, and reconnecting with the essentials, fresh air, nature, balance.
On the occasion of Earth Day, we’re happy to share Mr. Mille again. Not as an environmental slogan, but as a small, ironic reminder about responsibility, scale and the everyday choices that shape our future.
