Open Source for Creativity Friday, November, 6th 2009 – Cavour Room

TOP-IX Session THE CONFERENCE. A day dedicated to talks with teachers, entrepreneurs and representatives from research centres and businesses that are using free/open source software and content for multimedia production and creative works.
Maurizio Turoni, Maga animation studio pipeline and asset management software developement TD, talk about tools open source based and next production asset philosophy.
In the morning, after an introduction about the present and the future of an open production and sharing model for content, speakers selected among the applicants to the Call for Showcase will be presenting their multimedia projects realized with free and open source software tools. In the afternoon, after an interview with one of the key players in the creative business, there will be two round tables where professionals from education and from production will talk about their experiences. The event is going to be broadcasted through live audio and video streaming.
